Coming off the back of a successful 2018, solidifying their mark in the boutique luxury watch industry, Australian designed Creux Automatiq have been making some serious noise. With the majority their current Ghost Series models selling out, the team announced the release of its 5th limited edition model – the Ghost Forged Carbon.The Ghost Forged Carbon is set to be the most lightweight, robust and highly anticipated piece in the Creux Automatiq range. Its solid-cast forged carbon case, weighing less than 100 grams, boasts to be scratch resistant and is ready to handle the elements of the most adventurous owner.

Forged carbon was developed in partnership by Lamborghini and Callaway in 2010. It is a mix of very short carbon fibers and a high performance binding material. This compound is put under high temperature and pressure – forged – into a metal mold. The result is a lightweight and exceptionally resistant material. The material’s particular structure is clearly visible and contributes to its unique appearance, which seamlessly compliments the monochromatic details of the timepiece.The Ghost Forged Carbon is limited to 100 pieces worldwide, of which inside sources will soon be sold out. The first run is being shipped out to customers this week, and there are only a handful more available that will be shipped out before Christmas. The few remaining pieces will land in customers hands in January 2019.The rear-window exposes the robust S24-SK8 movement produced by SwissTech. Its specifications include; a frequency of 28800 A/H, 33 jewels and 36 hours of power reserve. The finishing is second to none – the gears and mechanics have been tastefully exposed through a skeletal frame, all finished with a combination of black and gun metal PVD, brushed and polished surfaces.
