Hello, and welcome to Fratello Talks. In today’s episode, we’re taking on the challenge of building a €15,000 watch collection. Nacho, RJ, and Lex have crunched the numbers and leafed through the catalogs and each selected three modern (currently available at retail) watches that they would buy if they had a €15K budget. It’s a hypothetical exercise and meant to be just a bit of fun, but ultimately, it’s still a challenge trying to leverage the budget to get the most bang for their buck. So, if you want to know which watches these three members of the Fratello team would go for today, tune in to find out. But now, it’s time for a wrist check.

Breguet Tradition on wrist

Wrist check

We start the wrist check with RJ. Unsurprisingly, he’s got a decent chunk of gold strapped to his wrist. This week, it’s the 37mm Breguet Tradition in yellow gold. Though Breguet doesn’t currently offer a Tradition in this size or material, RJ hopes the brand will return to this sweet-spot case size in the future. And we probably don’t even need to tell you that he’s also keen on yellow gold making a comeback. For now, he’s got this one in the bag (and on his wrist) and wears it at least once or twice per week.

Grand Seiko SBGX341 pocket shot

Lex is representing the quartz crowd with his Grand Seiko SBGX341. Its crisp white dial, subtle reddish-orange accents, and rugged yet elegant Zaratsu-polished case create an undeniably appealing combination. Ever since he got it back from service, he’s been wearing it in rotation with his beloved Oris Divers Sixty-Five Momotaro edition.

Tudor Pelagos FXD on wrist

Nacho is keeping things simple with his Tudor Pelagos FXD on a NATO strap. The black-dialed FXD was Nacho’s most worn watch of 2024 and is quickly making inroads to snatching the title again in 2025. However, it’s still far too early in the year to call it. That said, we’re liking its chances for a two-year streak.

Fratello Talks: Building A €15,000 Watch Collection

As mentioned, the challenge of building a €15,000 watch collection is supposed to be a fun hypothetical. However, the guys take it rather seriously. Ultimately, they’re all rather pleased with their choices, but the possibilities are almost endless. We won’t entirely give it away here, but their picks include timeless classics and more contemporary options. As you’d expect, brands like Tudor, Omega, Cartier, and Grand Seiko make an appearance. But you’ll have to tune in if you want to know who picked what and how much of their budget they managed to burn through.

We’d love to hear how you’d tackle the challenge. What would be your three (or more) picks with a €15K budget? Which of the three guys’ collections do you prefer? Let us know in the comments section below, and join us next week for a new episode of Fratello Talks!
