IFL Watches Introduces The Tissot PRX Arabian Night Concept Limited Edition

With the Stockholm-based brand’s newest customized dial, we are transported to the world of Arabian Nights. The canvas for this creative journey is the black-dial version of the quartz Tissot PRX. Sometimes, it takes just one glance at a piece of artwork to understand what it’s about. But one step beyond that is when the artwork creates images in your mind and carries you away from the immediate reality around you. That is the power of the artwork on the dial of this new Tissot PRX Arabian Night Concept. While the image consists of recognizable elements hinting at Arabian culture, it’s the sum of its parts that transports you to a different place.
The timekeeping canvas for the Arabian Night Concept
IFLW chose the quartz version of the Tissot PRX as the backdrop for its enchanting artwork this time. This watch features a 40mm stainless steel case measuring 10.4mm thick and 44mm in length. It also has a 100m water resistance rating and an integrated bracelet with a butterfly clasp. Inside the case ticks the ETA F06.115 quartz caliber. It displays the time in minutes, hours, and seconds and features a date display at 3 o’clock. This movement also offers an end-of-life indicator to tell you when to change the battery after roughly two years.
As a PRX owner, I can say that the watch looks like a dream and feels far more luxurious than its peers at the same price point. But for the IFLW Arabian Night, it’s about more than just the PRX’s style or comfort. The watch’s black dial is a canvas for the IFLW artisans to work their magic. They use the upper half of the dial to create a black star-filled sky with a bright white moon located between 9 and 10 o’clock.
A little escapism on the wrist
On the lower half of the dial, we find the moonlit dunes and glowing buildings that, along with the sky and the moon, form a dial that recalls the enchanting stories in One Thousand and One Nights (aka Arabian Nights). The hand-painted dial with instantly recognizable silhouettes immediately transports you to another place and time.
With the watch on your wrist, you will always have the chance to escape the reality of day-to-day life and think of more exciting things. It’s a fun dial that will trigger your imagination if you are interested in the world of Arabian folktales.
Creating the hand-painted dials
IFLW’s artists paint the special dials by hand using UV-resistant enamel paints. Every layer of paint needs to dry before the next one goes on, making it a time-consuming process that can take up to 10 hours per dial. Due to the dials’ hand-painted nature, each one within this 150-piece run will be slightly different, bringing an element of uniqueness to this enchanting watch.
The 150 pieces of this Tissot PRX Arabian Night Concept limited edition will be available for €1,090 starting today, November 4th, at 16:00 CET on the IFL Watches site.
