Introducing The Ressence Type 1 MRP
The partnership between the Belgian independent watchmaker Ressence and on-line luxury boutique Mr. Porter was already established in 2015. Today, they introduce the Ressence Type 1 MRP to you, a collaborative edition between Ressence and Mr. Porter available in two limited edition versions.
Ressence Type 1 MRP
The two versions introduced are the Ressence Type 1PN MRP in titanium and the Type 1 PW MRP in 18 karat rose gold. The titanium version has a case made of Grade-5 polished titanium with a night blue metallic dial, limited to 12 pieces only. The rose gold version with sandblasted white dial is even a bit more exclusive, as there will only be 6 pieces.
The Ressence Type 1 MRP uses the ROCS1 module. This module enables the orbiting discs to indicate the time on the dial. The big dial will turn to indicate the minutes, which automatically will also make the other dials orbit. In the sub dials, the hands move separately to indicate the hours, seconds and days. A beautiful way of telling time and of course patented by Ressence. We explained it to you in detail, in this article.
The ROCS1 module is being powered by ETA’s Caliber 2824/2. This automatic movement has a power reserve of 36 hours but is actually of less important for this watch, it is just being used as a power source for the ROCS1 module (Ressence Orbital Convex System) that has been developed in-house by founder Benoît Mintiens. This movement and module are housed in a 42mm x 12mm case, either in titanium or rose gold for this occasion.
Ressence’s Type 1 MRP will be available as of today on Mr. Porter. Prices are €17.500,= ($20,600USD) for the Type 1PN MRP (titanium) and €29.500,= ($33,800USD) for the Type 1PW MRP (rose gold).
