Omega Introduces Three Seamaster Aqua Terra 75th Anniversary Models That Are Incredible Summer Watches
Omega celebrates the 75th anniversary of the Seamaster line in style. The brand unveils 11 references over eight different models that all come with spectacular “Summer Blue” dials, and the greater the water resistance, the darker the blue color. The three Seamaster Aqua Terra 75th Anniversary models feature a light blue dial as they are rated to 150 meters. Within the Seamaster line, they are the lightest on water resistance and, therefore, have lighter dials. At the same time, however, these three Aqua Terra models are, in my mind, the most stylish of all the 75th Anniversary releases we have seen.
Omega has described the blue color for the Seamaster 75th Anniversary models as “Summer Blue.” As you’ll have gathered from the intro, it’s not just one tone of blue but a range of tones that form an appealing spectrum. I wrote the article about the Seamaster 300 and Seamaster 300M Diver, which are in the middle of that color range. Robert-Jan wrote about the new Ploprof, Planet Ocean, and Ultra Deep models with the darkest dials. Lastly, there are the three Aqua Terra models with light blue dials. I have to say from the get-go that these new Aqua Terra models look stunning. They make for a great trio of summer watches.
Three new Seamaster Aqua Terra models
These three new Seamaster 75th Anniversary models represent the great variety of the Aqua Terra line, first introduced in 2002. First among today’s releases is the 38mm Aqua Terra 150M ladies’ version, which is easily recognizable by the hour markers shaped like sailboat hulls. The second is the popular 41mm Aqua Terra 150M with its horizontal “teak” pattern on the dial. Rounding out the lineup of three models is the chunky yet functional 43mm Aqua Terra Worldtimer.
In terms of summery vibes, all three models are perhaps the best. In particular, the 41mm Aqua Terra 150M on a light blue rubber bracelet. This combination is an absolute stunner. A light blue dial with a teak pattern and a light blue rubber strap — it hardly gets more summery than that. While the Worldtimer might look far more technical and complicated, adding a rubber strap to the watch does wonders for it. If you are traveling through multiple time zones to get to your holiday destination, this could be the watch for you.
The 38mm “ladies'” version also features a sun-brushed Summer Blue dial. It only comes on a bracelet, but it looks equally stylish, and we know that the bracelets of the 38mm models are super comfortable. Time to find out more about the three.

The first of the three models is the Aqua Terra 150M in a 38mm case. Most of you will know that Omega offers multiple versions of the 38mm model in its collection. The most well-known variants, without a doubt, are the Aqua Terra Shades models that were announced last year but officially introduced only in May of this year. The Shades models come in 34mm and 38mm sizes with sunray-brushed dials in vibrant colors. The dials drop the other models’ instantly recognizable teak-deck dial pattern. Additionally, the case features an almost entirely polished finish. The result is a series of 38mm models with standout dials suited for both men and women.
Additionally, a string of “regular” 38mm models are, essentially, smaller versions of the popular 41mm Aqua Terra. As such, they feature characteristic sharp indices and the teak-deck dial pattern. Lastly, Omega offers a series of 38mm models explicitly targeting ladies. The regular 38mm ladies’ models are instantly recognizable thanks to the different, more feminine shape of the indices and the wavy pattern on the dial. The new 75th Anniversary model of the 38mm Aqua Terra is based on that concept.
The bracelet is a show-stopper
The watch features a 38mm stainless steel case that is 12.2mm thick and 45mm from lug to lug. It has a lovely light blue sunray gradient dial with sailboat-shaped indices. The hour markers are filled with light blue Super-LumiNova. All the hands also feature blue lume to complete the “Summer Blue” look. The date window is placed at 6 o’clock and has a light blue date disc to stay on theme. This watch is available only on a stainless steel bracelet, but what a bracelet it is. It measures 19mm wide at the end links, and the three-row design looks excellent and is an absolute joy to wear.
If you turn the watch around, you are greeted by a depiction of Poseidon and two different seahorses. The first is the original design from 1956, as designed by Jean-Pierre Borle, and the second is the brand’s current design. Hidden underneath the case back is Omega’s Co-Axial caliber 8800. This automatic movement also powers the Seamaster Diver 300M. It operates at 25,200vph, has 35 jewels, and offers a 55-hour power reserve. The movement is certified as a Master Chronometer by METAS and can withstand magnetic fields of at least 15,000 gauss.
A popular size and color
I have to say that the combination of the 38mm size with the light blue dial color and the stunning bracelet makes for a very handsome watch. I would have loved to see the same 38mm version in line with the Shades models featuring sharper indices. It would have made for a stunning 38mm Aqua Terra duo. But I do understand Omega’s choice to pick a ladies’ model specifically.
The Seamaster Aqua Terra is a diverse line with a great number of women’s watches, so it only makes sense that one of the 11 75th Anniversary models is targeted at ladies. The retail price of the Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra 150M 38mm 75th Anniversary model will be CHF 6,100.

The second model is the 41mm Aqua Terra 150M, a watch that most of you will know very well. The watch features a 41mm case that measures 13.2mm thick, 47.9mm long, and 20mm between the lugs. The case is combined with a stunning light blue gradient dial also featuring the famous pattern teak resembling sailboats’ wooden decks. The combination of the pattern, the color, and the subtle gradient makes for an fantastic watch.
The rhodium-plated hands and indexes are filled with light blue Super-LuminNova. I love that the light blue color is significantly lighter than the dial, as it creates a nice bit of contrast. As with the regular 41mm Aqua Terra models, the date window is at 6 o’clock, and the date disc is in a dial-matching hue, maintaining the “Summer Blue” theme. For this specific model, you have the choice of the familiar Aqua Terra stainless steel bracelet (ref. 220.10.41.21.03.005) or a light blue rubber strap (ref. 220.12.41.21.03.008). Usually, I would always prefer the bracelet, but the combination of the dial and the light blue rubber strap turns the summer vibes up to eleven.
The Omega caliber 8900
On the case back, you will find a similar depiction of Poseidon and his two seahorses as on the other two models. Underneath, Omega equips the 41mm Aqua Terra with its Co-Axial caliber 8900. This METAS-certified Master Chronometer automatic movement operates at 25,200vph, has 39 jewels, and delivers a 60-hour power reserve. Additionally, just like the caliber 8800 that powers the 38mm model, the movement can withstand magnetic fields of at least 15,000 Gauss.
Overall, I think this new 41mm Aqua Terra is an absolute stunner and the best of all the releases that Omega has made for the 75th anniversary of the Seamaster line. If I were looking for my next summer watch, I’d consider the search over and pick this new 41mm Aqua Terra 75th Anniversary model on the rubber strap. It’s the perfect summer piece that combines a sporty character with super classy looks. An absolute winner!
The retail price for the Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra 150M on the stainless steel bracelet will be CHF 5,800. For the model on the light blue rubber strap, the price will be CHF 5,600.
The Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra 150M GMT Worldtimer ref. 220.10.43.22.03.002
The last of the three new Aqua Terra 75th Anniversary models is the Aqua Terra 150M GMT Worldtimer. Just last week, Daan reviewed the latest additions to the Worldtimer lineup before this new 75th-anniversary model. The watch has a 43mm stainless steel case that is 14.1mm thick, 50.3mm long, and 21mm between the lugs. Just like the other two new Aqua Terra models, this watch comes equipped with a light blue gradient dial. Having said that, the GMT Worldtimer dial features many more elements and intricacies that define the face of the watch.
Comparing it to the standard steel Worldtimer, we see that the vertical meridian pattern across the dial stays, but the whole dial is executed in a lighter blue. The two-tone 24-hour ring seems to have remained the same, though, and the depiction of the globe also still has some gold touches. Like the other two models, the hands and indices are filled with a light blue color Super-LumiNova. The date window at 6 o’clock also features a blue date disc in line with the other colors on the dial.
Caliber 8938
Behind the commemorative case back, you will find the Omega Co-Axial world-time caliber 8938. This automatic METAS-certified Master Chronometer movement operates at 25,200vph, has 39 jewels, and provides a 60-hour power reserve. Besides displaying the time in hours, minutes, and seconds, the movement can also track the time in 24 different time zones. And just like the other movements in the Aqua Terra line, the caliber 8938 can withstand magnetic fields of at least 15,000 Gauss.
Just like the 41mm model, you have the choice of a stainless steel bracelet (ref. 220.10.43.22.03.002) or a light blue rubber strap (ref. 220.12.43.22.03.002). And just like with the 41mm model, I prefer the rubber strap as it tremendously complements the look of the dial. The Worldtimer has never been my favorite of the Aqua Terra models. But I have to say that this 75th-anniversary version does look very nice.
The retail price of the Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra 150M GMT Worldtimer on the rubber strap is CHF 8,700. On the stainless steel bracelet, the watch will be CHF 8,900.
Impressions of the Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra 75th Anniversary models
I can make this a short and sweet one. The Aqua Terra models are fantastic in this “Summer Blue” execution. Especially the 38mm and 41mm versions look beautiful. Of all eight models Omega has introduced for the Seamaster’s 75th anniversary, the 41mm Aqua Terra on the blue rubber strap is my favorite. It’s great to wear during activities on warm summer days and has an abundance of class to serve you well during long summer nights out as well. As I said, it’s one of my favorite summer watches of 2023, and it embodies the anniversary theme perfectly.
