The IFL Watches Timex Q Space Dunk Slams It Home!
IFL Watches modifies watches by adding wildly creative, handpainted dials. The brand has used several watches as a canvas for its creations. Each release is limited, and a quick look at the company’s website shows plenty of “sold out” signs. Let’s see if the new IFL Watches Timex Q Space Dunk strikes the same chord with fans.
We’ve covered many IFL Watches releases and launched a collaboration with the brand using a CasiOak as the foundation. Overall, we’ve enjoyed the brightly colored watches that cover an endless array of subjects. Models from G-Shock, Seiko, Citizen, Tissot, and Timex are the typical choices for IFLW. The new Space Dunk uses the Q from Timex, a wildly popular watch. Let’s take a closer look.
The IFL Watches Timex Q Space Dunk
The new IFL Watches Timex Q Space Dunk uses the colorful Pepsi-bezel version for this limited edition. This translates to a 38mm by 45.3mm stainless steel watch with a 50m water resistance rating. It includes a stainless steel bracelet and a domed acrylic crystal. Functionally, the watch uses a Swiss quartz movement with a GMT function and date. However, that’s not why we’re here.
The Space Dunk theme refers to those who reach for the stars and aren’t content to back down from life’s challenges. This is exhibited on the black dial with a background of multicolored stars, a hallmark of many IFLW editions. However, the main show depicts an astronaut holding a planet like a basketball and slamming it through a ring. The figure even has a Jordan-esque pose!
A cool dial
I can appreciate the new Space Dunk as a fun, reliable, and wearable option. It strikes me as the kind of watch that would cause a double-take after seeing it, and that’s a good thing. Of course, with IFL Watches, this latest release is a limited edition, with 150 pieces available at €790 each. If the Space Dunk seems to embody your modus operandi, visit the official IFL Watches site for more information.
