Welcome back to our Watch On Your Wrist? Instagram extravaganza for the last time in 2020! We will soon find out who will be the lucky winner of this year’s contest!

In case we need to bring you up to speed, this is what happened so far:

Every week, we selected four images. You could vote in the article for your favorite image. The winner moved on to the semi-final round (held every fifth week between the previous four weekly winners). The winner of each semi-final went straight into the final.

The previous Semi-Finals were one, two, three, four, and five.

Over the course of the contest, we have collected over 80 images from Instagram from different users. We checked who tagged our account or used the  #fratellowatches when uploading a photo. A DM was sent to the selected ones asking for their consent for us to use the image in the contest. Needless to say, most of you were super open and happy about this. Thanks a lot for that!

A few weeks ago Balazs and Rob announced the amazing prizes. The good news is, every Fratello fan who made it to the Final will receive a package.

But now let the fun begin. Please check the 5 final images below and vote for your favorite.

@tailorandwatches — Omega Seamaster 300M

“I bought The Omega Seamaster Diver 300M from a dear friend in snowy December 2018. It was the time when I decided to celebrate a wonderful past year in which I visited a lot of amazing places around Europe, got married to the most beautiful and loving girl in the world, and bought our first shared apartment together. When I came back from the purchase meeting, I was so emotional that I decided to describe my feelings in a diary. Now every time I wear this watch I look at it for a long time and remember this day, that year, which quickly makes me feel better and reminds me of what is important in life. The picture was taken by my wonderful wife at one of these moments.”

@watchddicted — Omega Speedmaster Professional

“This is the second [Omega] Speedmaster I acquired. I had the first one less than a year and sold it to try another watch. I spontaneously bought a Tudor Black Bay GMT after that. After a few months, I started to look at my photographs nostalgically — I was missing something. I decided to buy another Speedmaster. There could be only one choice — with a hesalite “crystal”, of course. On the day of purchase, I saw “First man” again with the watch on the wrist. In the photo, I used RC modeling tools to make a slightly different composition than before”

@watch_diversion — Sinn 910

“A split-second chronograph is a kind of “grail” watch that always seemed out-of-reach for me. But then Sinn came out with this limited model to celebrate its 55th anniversary. It’s based on a Valjoux 7750 but integrates a column wheel and the split-second function. But most importantly, it was affordable and had this achingly cool creamy dial and classic look that truly captivated me! The cream, black, and red highlights really sing in the sun, and this shot captures that perfectly.”

@maxx_vdv — Heuer Autavia vintage

“This is the first watch I fell in love with. I always saw it on my grandfather’s wrist. When I was around 6 years old I asked him if I could see and hold his watch. He showed me his piece and I was truly amazed, from the second he deployed the clasp. He told me that was so you can make the bracelet longer so it could go over your wetsuit if you went diving.

“It also had a “ring” around the crystal that could rotate to time how long you were underwater so you wouldn’t run out of oxygen. I was blown away. But that wasn’t it. It wasn’t only a watch, but it even had a stopwatch! The fact that my grandfather actually used it as a tool meant a lot to me. Subsequently, it would become my grail. Since that day I always wanted the same piece as my grandfather — a Heuer Autavia 11063V.

“On January the 20th, my grandfather took the Autavia of a shelve and gave it to me. I asked, ‘Why? Isn’t this your piece?’ And he told me, ‘I’d rather give it to you with a warm hand, than with a cold one.’

“I just turned 16 on September 14th, and I got the watch completely serviced, and of course, I kept it completely original. I still can’t believe it. I’m barely 16 and I already own my grail watch! And, even better, I own a watch that my Grandfather made a lot of memories with.”

@winditonthemove — Hamilton Khaki Field Mechanical

“The Khaki field mechanical was the second watch I bought. I was new to collecting watches and was a little bit trigger happy and wanted to just add another watch to accompany my first watch. But, even if it was a rushed decision, I have come to love this piece and the best thing about it is how versatile it is.”

Voting has concluded and now the votes are being counted to ensure a fair result for all! Check back at 15:30 for the results.

We would like  to thank everyone who took part in the contest as well as the brands who supported us by sending us these awesome prizes. Thank you again, hope you had fun. See you in 2021!
