Hamilton
Hamilton was founded in 1892 in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Far away from the city of Biel where its headquarters is located today.
Hamilton became a well-known watch brand because of its railroad watches. In the early days of the American railroads, Hamilton supplied very accurate watches to help reduce accidents that happened because of timing issues.
Hamilton has a long list of iconic watches, worn by iconic people. The oddly shaped Ventura was favored by Elvis Presley while their Pulsar LED watch was worn by astronaut Jim Lovell (Apollo 13) and fictional character James Bond (Roger Moore) in Live and Let Die.
Today, Hamilton is especially known for its affordable watches of high quality. Besides offering new versions of the iconic watches mentioned above, they also have their Jazzmaster collection, and military and aviation-inspired watches in the Khaki collection. Among the most popular Hamilton watches are the Murph and the Intra-Matic Chrono.
